Apple Accepts no Cash for Iphones?

In a very strange move Apple Inc. has a new policy that does not allow customers to buy an Iphone with cash. They cite resellers and others buying the phones in large quantities. a phoen like the Iphone can be sold internationally right now, and can be unlocked for sales in the US to people who want an unlocked phone. This is a very unusual situation as I have never heard of a retiler not accepting cash. There is a limit of (2) Iphones per person and Apple will track buyers of the phones. This will apply at the Apple store and at Cingular stores. I found out that it is actually legal for the retailer (in this case Apple) to refuse cash. However all debts that you incur, the seller must accept cash. I suppose a retailer can establish their own policies but not accepting cash? I have heard of a restaurant that accepts credit only and no cash. Bruce Williams discussed this on his radio show this week. He does an excellent wradio show that is on XM radio and can be downloaded online. This practice of no cash affects those who don’t have a credit card or dedit card.
