An Informed Shopper Gets the Best Deal!
I always say that the more you know as a shopper the better. I usually suggest to know as much or more than the salesperson on the product you are wanting to buy. This applies to more of the big ticket products. Impulse buying will cost you time and possibly not getting the best product for your needs. Since stores have some tough return policies (especially electronics) you better know what you want. I will talk about this in great detail in an upcoming entry on getting the best deal on High Definition Tvs for the upcoming holiday season. I have some experience in this area owneing several high def tvs and advising some relatives.
