Free Office Software Suite-Spreadsheet,Word Processor,Presentation
IBM today is rolling out a new FREE suite of office applications available as a FREE download. The software is called Symphony. This software can read and write microsoft spreadsheet and word processor files. This is great for small businesses and consumers who don’t want to pay hundreds of dollars or more to Microsoft. The basics of document creation do not require many of the high end features included in Microsoft Office products. Sometimes the complexity of all those features makes if more cumbersome to use. Google offers a fantastic online suite of applications. Since the documents are stored online they are accessible on any machine with a browser. The online downside is so far the applications are online only. It is great to have the ability to update spreadsheets and documents online though.
