Customer Service Hall of Fame-Publix Supermarkets
Previous I added my first entry to my customer service Hall of Shame which is Best Buy. Now its time to add my first entry to the Hall of Fame-Publix supermarkets hits my Hall of Fame. They do a great job with customer service and it seems they have some great employees. On one occasion I noticed that at checkout the cashier (a rookie)somehow did not deduct the coupons I presented. that day I had more than $8.00 in coupon deals. He took them but somehow they did not end up on the receipt. I went back to the store and spoke to a manager. Without question he refunded my $8.00. They also have a policy on items scanning incorrectly, they will give you the item for FREE. On certain items I think they could be more price competitive, but overall they do a great job. A few years ago after a hurricane they were the most prepared store and most stores opened for business using generated power. I have personally known some store managers. Publix is a private company that serves Florida,Alabama,Georgia,South Carolina and Tennessee. They are also rolling out a new concept store called Greenwise to compete with Whole Foods market. I live in South Florida and they are adding many of the Greenwise stores. I think those stores will e huge competition for Whole Foods and Wild Oats markets.
