Beware of Business Opportunities
Often in local newspaper classified ads or business publications you will see ads for business opportunities. These can be vending routes, rack jobbing, all sorts of schemes. With the age of technology and the Internet there have been many of these scams going around. The best advice is to avoid them completely. Buying a franchise or a preexisting real business is one thing. The biz op guys are selling dreams, and all they do is sell biz ops, disconnect the phone lines and leave town. Many of these operations are located in California, Florida or other states that do not regulate them. By the time you are ripped off, they have your money and they are gone. If I can save one person from getting ripped off on a biz op, this blog is worth it for me!— Robert Weisberg
